My first post wasn't in my own journal! Guess I'm odd like that. Anyway, hello. :) I'm Sadie, I live in Colorado, and I love all kinds of things. I don't know how often I'll post; it's been a few years since I've had an active journal here on LJ-land. For the most part I want to keep this journal public. I plan to write about the following things: interior decorating (friends and I are in the process of making a house more home-like), animals (we own a very cute Italian Greyhound, four cats, and six (yes, six!) budgies, media (avid movie-watchers in this house, oh yes, and books too!), fandom (anime, television, movies, books) and other day-to-day junk. Expect lots of pictures (will be posted beneath lj-cuts) and um, cookery. I love cooking things, and there's new cooking equipment about the house.

If you're interested in the above, I don't mind being added. I won't be offended if you get bored and de-add either, so no worries.

Colorado weather is so amazing. Yesterday Kalli and I had the windows open because it was thundering and hailing and things. We were sitting around in the den watching a movie and BOOM, BANG, *rumblethud* so yeah, up went all the windows and the wind was throwing chimes around and the sky was splitting open. Amazing. =)

Woke up to five inches of snow on the lawn. It's still coming down, even built a snow woman out in it. Figured it'd be funny to put tits on her, but the wind blasted her over. Snow woman rubble all over the driveway. And then it started hailing and thundering WHILE IT WAS SNOWING. I'm not kidding, when the video's uploaded I'll link it. We were just standing there and *rumbleCRASH* ... yeah. Weird and awesome weather.

Dinner's going to be good. I threw onions, potatoes, carrots, and some kind of pork roast in the slow cooker at 8:30 this morning. We usually eat around 6:30-7pm, so it'll definitely be done by then. Lunch was tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for everyone. Rotisserie chicken tastes really good in grilled cheese. Try it one day, if you get the opportunity. *g*

Micah's on track with his development. He's a few weeks over six months now, and enjoys trying to mount Kalli's leg while I'm cooking in the kitchen. I don't know when his neutering appointment is, but we're not exactly in a giant hurry to get it done. He's starting to calm down a little now. Instead of acting like a spastic puppy when we let him out of his enclosure, he's calmer and more interested in sniffing everything. He's also figuring out potty training. I taped up a pad for him to aim at; it's working.

I don't care what you may think, picturing_food, tuna does not go in tomato soup. That's just vile.

I emailed some people on Craigslist about some bikes. Hopefully they'll respond soon, we might be able to go check them out tonight. =)

Took Micah for a walk today. He liked it, but it tired him out. I think he needs to exercise just as much as Kalli and I do, heh.

I know, I know. I've been scarce. Life's been busy, and I've been working on waking up dresdenfans because when I found it, the original moderator had a deleted and purged account. phoenix64 notified LJ and added myself and countrygirl4ver as maintainers. The original layout was the old LJ-base, the info had some misspellings in it, and only one of the affiliates had a link back. So I thought, ok. New layout, revamped affiliates, new info style, and maybe some challenges? It's been a fun little project, and I'm enjoying it. If you're a fan of the series, go join! =)

Micah graduated his beginners' puppy course tonight! He managed to sit for me, lay down for Kalli, come when called for Doyle and for Kalli, and kinda-sorta remain sitting for Doyle's stay command. 'Leave it' didn't go over so well, but we gathered plenty of points in other areas to pass the class. =) Pictures tomorrow~!
